Well folks, we had two great games yesterday. We beat both the Wet Deamons (18-9) and the Stingrays (8-7) despite some crappy calls from the umps (Damn I want credit for a Grand Slam). (I think those are the right scores, but not sure). Kiki, Joanie, and Bubbles really stepped up yesterday and did an awesome job. We will be posting stats for the real games starting next week.
A special thanks goes out to Kiki who offered up his lovely home for the after game shindig.
Reminder, since we still do not have a sponsor we need to pony up some money to pay Kate back for the Jerseys, league fees, etc. So try to bring that to practice or the games this weekend. Its around $30 per person, but I understand not everyone can pay that. So the objective is to "raise" around $450. If you can give $100, please do so! I would also like us to start planning a carwash in place of/or after a practice in the near future. We need to start raising some money for tournaments.
Polling for practice times has officially ended. They will just always be at 11am at the same place. Be there or be square.
Games for next week are on the sidebar to the right. The first one is at 9am, and as many of you have already told me that means no going out too late on Saturday night. Just get your bathroom BJs in before midnight and all should be well.
Also, we need to decide if we are going to be doing the Memorial Day tournament. Putting a poll on the sidebar for us to vote in.
Oh, and if any of you have any good pics of the game and team members, email them to me and I am going to start posting them on the blog, and will try to come up with a little something special.
Lastly, if anyone else wants to be added as an admin on the blog so you can post on your own, just email me at jjwhite100@gmail.com and I will add you. It is easy to do, so don't be scared. If Brandon can do it, anyone can.

How do we pay our $? Paypal, check, or cash only? Oh wait - cash only applies to other gay guys I know on an entirely different website. LOL.
A lot of us already know Ray Collins of The Heretic. Ray has been a dear friend of mine for 12+ years now. Since we are not sponsored and/or affiliated with another bar...I believe that Ray would be happy to allow us to hold some type of fund-raiser there at the 'tic. In the past...Ray has allowed some of the teams that I have helped coach to sell "shooters" or something to that effect on a Wednesday, Friday and/or Saturday night. He may offer to donate the liquor himself. If not...he would allow us to make our own "shooters" and sell them at The Heretic. If you guys think that I should pursue this idea...please let me know. (Easy money.)

practice at 11 a.m. really sucks for me, because it makes me miss torah study at my synagogue - if i want to attend torah study, i have to come late to practice

if someone has a digital movie camera, please bring it to our next practice - otherwise, maybe it's possible to rent one - it helps a lot to see what it looks like when we throw and bat - it's such a great way to work on our form and our mechanics

I would like to record practice this week. I think it would be a huge help...seriously!
I would like to practice sliding on saturday. Sliding without knowing how can result in serious injury. Take it from me, that is how I broke my ankle.
On the video camera side, I may have a solution.
